A woman walks past; on hearing of Mr Smith’s release, she comments that he should be ‘taken off the streets of Newcastle’ and it being a ‘dammed disgrace’. As he continues to speak with journalists about continued Labour rule in Newcastle and the judgement against him, he waves at someone down the street.
