A video of an exhibition of photographs and art works relating to the British music, fashion and culture magazine The Face takin place at the Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield. In the second part of this production, two journalists from The Face take questions from an audience both about the magazine as well as some of the artworks on display. To the music of Tangerine Dream editions of the magazine The Face laid out in piles on a table. A montage follows featuring various front covers. On the walls of a gallery a display of photographs taken for The Face. Three chairs have been set up in the galley in front of a monitor and video cassette player, a young man takes a seat. A second man checking on the video player and monitor. Title: Views Two The man continues to sit waiting in his chair, behind him two large displays made up of front covers from The Face magazine, above it the name of the exhibition ‘The Face’. Title: Views Two + More views of the photographs hanging on the walls, the seated man can be seen watching something on the monitor. Title: Views Three A closer examination of some of the art works and images on the walls. Title: Views Four A phantom walk through the gallery past the artworks on display and the man sitting in the chair watching a film on the monitor. Visitors have now entered the gallery and they look around at the artworks on display, the man is still sitting in the chair watching the monitor. Title: Face the Faces?? Face to Face An Open Forum with Face Magazine June 12 1986 at The Graves Art Gallery Sitting on a stage in the gallery two journalists from The Face plus a compare for the event sitting nearby. Around them a large audience listening to them both explain who they are, what they do and what kind of magazine The Face is. They take questions about the magazine from the audience. The conversation comes to an end and the audience applauds. The film ends on another montage of front covers from The Face magazine.
