The interview with Alan Cummings of Easington continues with them discussing the differences between the strikes of 1974 and 1984-85, the attitude of the local colliery management to the return to work and that victimisation is taking place. They go onto talk about the changes in the character of the Durham Miners' Association and the relationship between the miners and the police in Easington. They also discuss the media coverage of the dispute as well as the significance of the strike for the Labour movement as a whole.
