A family group with dogs stands beside a car is followed by several large dray-horses being looked over or walked near to several caravans and wagon. Two of the horses are dressed in decorative harnesses and then led to and around a showground.
A woman on horseback, she wears a label on her back with the number 193. Several dray-horses are led across a field changing to two huntsmen in distinct red jackets on horseback leading a pack of hounds several times around a showground.
Owners and the dogs are paraded around the central area of the showground while along the far edge horses are either ridden or led past a row of parked cars. The riders pick up speed into a canter before standing in a line atop their horses.
In the distance a sheepdog herds a flock of sheep around a field. A car is parked in the field, and someone stands beside it. A couple watch the trial from behind a wooden fence as the shepherd and his dog herd the sheep towards the car.
From the cliffs in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary at Whitby the East and West Piers below. The camera pans around showing the church itself as well as the nearby ruins of Whitby Abbey followed by the town and River Esk below. In a nearby field a man tends to several horses changing to visitors climbing and descending the 199 Steps. The film ends on various boats and ships moored on the River Esk around Whitby.
