Inside the Herlingshaw Centre near Scarborough, BMX rider Edward Sedgewick performing various jumps and stunts over the opening credits. A video effect has been used to over-saturate the image.

Title: Newcastle Youth Enterprise Centre
Interview with Edward about his many bike injuries which lead to him developing a BMX mail order business. As he continues to speak in voice-over, he is seen speaking with Ian Fisher, Manager of the Newcastle Youth Enterprise Centre about developing his company and possibly renting a studio at the centre.
In the driveway of a house Fidelis Obodo(?) washes a Volvo car with soapy water and sponge. In voiceover he provides details on how his business started and how it has developed to now include carpet cleaning. Inside an office Fidelis sprays a carpet shampoo on to the floor before using an industrial vacuum cleaner to suck the dirt up. As he works, Fidelis describes the challenges of finding new customers.
At his desk Ian Fisher speaks with someone on the telephone. In a nearby classroom David Grayson, Director of Project North East, leads a session as part of the Business Made Simple course. He speaks with a group of young men and women about ways of promoting their products or services.
Inside her studio at the Newcastle Youth Enterprise Centre fashion designer Jenny Barrett works a sewing machine. In voice-over she talks about her background and how she started her business making men’s shirts for the high-fashion casual market and how the centre has helped her run her business better. Sits at a table Jenny looking through her account books changing to her and friend Jill Sykes working together on one of Jenny’s designs in the studio.
An article in a magazine produced by Jenny who is also a freelance magazine writer, she sits at a table looking though another magazine. She provides details of the shops in Newcastle and London where she sells her shirts as well as the exclusive work she does for local celebrities and musicians. In the studio again Jenny puts on one of the shirts watched over by Jill.
As Jill cuts fabric making one of her own design, she provided details of her fashion business known as Psycho Designs. She talks about the type of business she has and the customers whom she produces designs for. On a wall photographs of a model wearing an exclusive ballgown designed and made by Jill. Back with Jenny in their studio they continue to work on Jenny shirt.
A montage of cartoon and furniture design images, in a portfolio more images with a hand turning the pages. Sitting on the floor Neil Wilson flicks through his portfolio and in voice-over he talks about his background as a student at Leeds Polytechnic and about what he has done to make his furniture products marketable.
Crowds of pedestrians walking along a busy Newcastle street returns to students taking part in the Business Made Simple course. A poster featuring names of the many businesses who support the Newcastle Youth Enterprise Centre and Ian Fisher again working in his office. Nearby a photocopier printing pages from a document and in an office a female administrator sits typing a letter on a typewriter. In another room two women use a computer.
From the 2nd floor window of the Newcastle Youth Enterprise Centre, the North-Eastern Co-Operative supermarket across the road on Newgate Street with traffic and pedestrians passing underneath.
