Two women are shown preparing salad in the kitchen area.
A montage of other kitchen prep, including grating cheese, washing up, and baking, shows some of the cooking-related chores done in the youth hostel.
Two men open a cooking course magazine and read some of the recipes.
A tin of Heinz baked beans is emptied into a pan, and the tin is put into a bin containing other empty tins of beans.
A young boy flips a pancake in a pan, which lands on the face of an older person standing next to him.
Two men are standing over pans on the stove; one of the men looks confused because the food in his pan is on fire, so he takes the other man’s pan full of sauce and pours it over his pan, to put the fire out.
An older man is shown serving soup from a large pan with a ladle, to a group of young people sitting at a dinner table. The group chat amongst themselves.
The hostellers who had helped with dinner are also shown helping with the washing up.
Hostellers are shown getting ready for bed and getting into their bunks in the dorms. One man goes to turn off the light switch by the door of the dorm.
Silhouetted plants against a sunrise are shown.
The hostellers are shown waking up in their beds and getting out of the bunks. Several of them grab towels and head to the bathrooms.
In the women’s bathroom, several people are shown washing in the sinks, standing in their underwear; they have towels on their head or around their shoulders.
In the men’s bathroom they are also shown washing or shaving in the sinks. One of the men wipes his face on a shirt that is hung up on the hooks on the wall.
In the kitchen, sausages are shown sizzling in a pan. Burnt toast is shown being scraped in a sink. Eggs are cracked into another sizzling sink.

Colourful bunting is shown blowing in the breeze.
A montage of fun activities to do at the hostel is shown, including festival celebrations, volleyball games on a court and a pillow fight on a beam. The spectators laugh, clap and cheer as they watch several people go up and try knocking each other off the beam.
A tug of war match is shown; hostellers on either side of the rope are seen struggling against the tension, and their feet slip on the muddy grass. One of the spectators enthusiastically cheers them on. Eventually, one side falls and loses.
Someone is presented with a small plaque outside the youth hostel.
Piles of boots and socks are shown scattered on the ground outside. A few people are shown putting their boots on and tying their shoe-laces.
A group of hostellers are shown walking across a stream - two of them are on horseback. One of the horses drinks from a barrel of water next to the stream.
Some of the hostellers are shown getting onto bicycles and cycling away down country lanes, and through a watery area where the path had flooded. One of the cyclists loses balance and falls over into the shallow water. He can be seen walking uncomfortably with a large wet patch on his shorts. The other cyclists struggle but get through it.
Hostellers are shown walking through a dense area of foliage, followed by a rocky mountainous area. They climb down the mountain towards a lake, using a large stick as an aid.
Boots and clothing are shown left on the shore of the lake, as hostellers make their way into the water and enjoy splashing around in it. Other hostellers stay on the shore, enjoying the sunshine. One of them is reading a book.
