An amateur film produced by Ken Ellwood of a traction engine rally taking place somewhere in the United State of America between Oshkosh Wisconsin and Miami Airport in Oklahoma. The engines featured are different in their design from their British equivalent and are paraded past the camera and put to work in a field powering a threshing machine. An American CASE traction engine slowly steams past several other engines on display in a field. Behind it comes a man riding past in a horse-drawn prairie wagon and another traction engine pulling a threshing machine. A colourful stars-and-stripes float is driven past by tractor, ‘Liberty’ is written along the bottom followed by a series of traction engines each pulling threshing machines and other farm equipment. A vintage John Deere tractor passes followed by several horse-drawn prairie wagons. In a cornfield a large belt is laid out to attach a CASE threshing machines to a traction engine. At the far end of the field a second traction engine is pulling a plough with several men standing atop of the plough as it is pulled through the earth. The threshing machine now operation wheat or equivalent is fed into the thresher along a conveyor. An older man nearby lays out another large belt and men continue to feed the thresher. The traction engine runs at full speed with coal being shovelled into the firebox. Spectators watch as a steam powered circular saw cut a tree into plank sections. A man speaks into a microphone atop a small tower and two women walk past. Phantom ride aboard a steam traction engine as it is slowly driven around the site past other machines on display. The film ends on a horse powered threshing demonstration.
