Summary This amateur film begins with a two-day end of season sports event taking place at Ermysted’s Grammar School in Skipton on the 18th and 19th March 1935. Title: The Sports March 18th – 19th
The film begins with the end of two races with boys crossing the finish lined watched by a crowd of cheering pupils. A crowd of boys gathers around an older boy as he throws something changing to two men smoking pipes walking past.
A series of track and field events begins with several older boys competing in the long-jump followed by the high-jump and then the shot put. A crowd of boys on a hillside watch two teams compete in a game of tug-o-war. Back on the track boys competing in the 100-metre sprint followed by a hurdles race with one boy falling over on the last but one hurdle.
A large crowd of boys gather around a sandpit as a boy attempts a long jump followed by another boy doing the high jump. A relay race gets underway changing to the baton being passed and the winner crossing the line. More track and field events and a second tug-o-war.

A large group of boys race past along a road, changes to them running across a field from Bog Lane to Tarn House passing through a kissing gate. One of the runners climb over a stile and come along a road passing a car parked nearby. He runs across another field and around a flagpole followed by the rest of the group. A crowd of spectators watches as the boys cross the finish line, more boys race across the field and around the flagpole heading for the finish line.

Atop a hill the race gets underway with boy running down it changing to them jumping over Eller Beck and following the route alongside the beck. Some of the younger boys jump back across the beck racing back across the field.
The boys race along track and through a gate passing three men there. Two boys run down Grassington Road turning into Short Lee Lane, a lorry travels past as they turn into the lane.
The boys race across a field and around a flagpole passing a group of watching spectators. Some of the younger boys jump across another beck or stream racing up a hillside watched by several boys. Several older boys run along a road passing three men.
At Park Hill the boys turn a corner around a drystone wall on which sit two boys watching. The film ends with the boys running across another field passing the camera.
