Under the eaves of the Ellwood home House martins flick back and forth from their nest bringing food to their young. In his uniform David Ellwood returns home from school turning into Tarn Moor Crescent and coming through the front gate.
On a wall a birdbox, a Eurasian blue tit goes inside carrying grubs for its young. Back at the House martin nest where an adult flies in and sits on the next several times.
The chicks appear one at a time in the nest entrance and fly away. The film ends on a Blackbird in a tree.
