An amateur film produced by Ken Ellwood of a threshing machine in use on a farm in Cambridgeshire. A Burrell General Purpose steam traction engine is used to power the thresher and the film begins with the two machines being connected. With everything in position farmhands shovel a cereal crop into the thresher which separates the grain from the straw. On a farm a man drives a Burrell General Purpose steam traction engine into a position besides a threshing machine. A second younger man unwinds a large belt attaching one end to the thresher and the other to the wheel of the traction engine with the help of the driver. Two Jack Russell dogs walk through a large bundle of hay passing a duck sitting under the straw. With the traction engine now connected two men use pitchforks to shovel the wheat or other cereal crop into the thresher. A convey carries the now separated straw away dropping down into a pile which is then moved by a third farmhand with a pitchfork. A man in a parka coat comes over to watch the machine in operation.
