Along a straight section of railway track near York a British Rail Class 40 diesel locomotive speeds past pulling a series of passenger carriages. Travelling in the opposite direction the LNER Class A3 4472 Flying Scotsman passes under a bridge at speed pulling seven passenger carriages. It is followed by a second Class 40 locomotive pulling nine carriages and a Class 47 locomotive also pulling nine passenger carriages both heading in the same direction as the Flying Scotsman.
