At the Reception ground at the top of Raikes Road in Skipton two men clean the Burrell General Purpose traction engine 3918 ‘Deboroh’ before driving it along a lane and onto the road where they stop in order to give the large rear wheels a clean.
Three small children dressed in blue stand in the doorway of the filmmaker’s home at Tarn Moor Crescent in Skipton. John Ellwood steps over them walking down the driveway with brother John. Deborah in bridal gown carrying a bouquet appears walking onto the lawn in the front garden with the children where photographs are taken. As this is happening Kath Ellwood appears from the house, walks down the drive getting into a vintage car. Ken Ellwood in his morning suit escorts his daughter to the wedding car. They both get in.
Outside Skipton Parish Church Deborah poses beside the Burrell General Purpose traction engine, the nameplate ‘Deborah’ just above her head.
The vintage car seen previously drives past and two men help the three children inside get out. Kath accompanies them through the churchyard as the wedding car arrives. Deborah and Ken get out of the car as wedding guests make their way into the church. A brass band sets up in the churchyard. Ken and Deborah make their way through the churchyard and are posed for photographs in the church doorway alongside the three children and the vicar. They all head inside.
Three women rush across the road outside the church as a tractor drives towards them, in the churchyard the brass band continue to set up. Young choristers come out of the church standing in the doorway followed by Mr and Mrs Oates being posed for photographs. The happy couple followed by family and friends make their way into the churchyard where more photographs are taken with various family groups. The couple come to stand beside the band who begin to play after which they depart the church and have more photographs taken beside the Burrell General Purpose traction engine. Guests come out of the churchyard onto the street, the three children sit in the backseat of the vintage car. As the couple make their way to the wedding car confetti is thrown on them. They get in and are driven away followed by the traction engine being driven away.
In the garden of the wedding reception Deborah and new husband Christopher stand chatting with friends and family over glasses of Champagne. Everyone turns and smiles on seeing the camera. Standing or sitting around decorative tables other guest chat amongst themselves.
The wedding car arriving back at Tarn Moor Crescent and Deborah and Christopher get now out of their wedding outfits. The couple along with Kath cross a busy road, Christopher carrying several bags.
