A Noddy alarm clock counting down to midnight and the Ellwood children asleep in their beds. On a table a glass of port and a slice of Christmas cake. With the clock now at midnight and the children still asleep, Santa Claus’s hand appears to take the cake and drink some of the port.
Title: Dawn!!
On Deborah's bed a stack of presents, a new dress, and a knitted stocking with lettering on it reading ‘1958 Deborah’. Stacked up on his bed presents for David and a knitted stocking with his name on it. He wakes up and proceeds to picks up his stocking and pulls presents from it including a Dinky toy car. In his cot baby John looks out eagerly bouncing up and down. Back in his bedroom David holds up a packet of colouring pencils before pulling a packet of sweets from his stocking. Standing beside John’s crib David holds up his brothers stocking passing it to him. Sitting on his bed John looks over his presents, he holds a packet of jelly babies in his hand. Still in her bed Deborah takes out a windup penguin and winds it up. David holds up a pack of toy soldiers, John continues to bounce around in his crib.
Sitting at a table and wearing a cowboy waistcoat David plays with a construction set building a tower, John sits nearby in his highchair. Deborah stands on the other side of the table on which sit David’s toy soldiers. The tower grows bigger.
Title: Bathtime
David, Deborah and John sit together in the bath, Deborah playing with a toy boat. A rubber toy-dog sits on the side looking coy as John chews on a plastic fish. David picks up a toy aircraft carrier, the water inside dripping out. The children continue to play.
Title: And so to bed
Deborah in her pyjamas is tucked into bed by her mother Kath, she smiles happily. John bounces around in his crib as David is tucked in by his mother with a smile. John begins to chew the edge of his crib before being put down with a bottle of milk.
