Three older children play with a ball in the surf as Kath walks over with David by her side and Deborah in her arms. Kath runs in and out of the sea much to the amusement of Deborah.

His sister joins him splashing around in the water. David runs around the boating lake while Ken sits on a nearby bench with Deborah on his knees. David comes over to show his father the model boat.
The family play a game of pitch-and-put with Kath potting a ball into a hole. The children follow Kath as she makes her way down to the beach along a zig-zag path. Kath takes Deborah down to the surf and fills a small bucket with water followed by Ken carrying David into the surf along with his model boat and playing with it in the sea. Back at the deckchairs David covers Kath’s feet with sand.
