A pair of hands opening a tourist brochure for the Grand Canyon changes to vistas of the canyons themselves. Ken Ellwood walks into shot looking out across the wide-open landscape. A group of tourists standing at another viewing platform admire the views themselves as Kath Ellwood looks through a mini telescope.
Native American dancers perform a routine for a group of watching tourists. Part of the performance could be a type of pride dance as several performers are dressed as souring birds or eagles. Another performer dances with a hoop.
A vulture sitting in a precipice flies off passing near to a group of tourists coming along a trail riding ponies. They come to a stop beside a hitching post and go for a walk looking down on the Colorado River below. A couple lean on a post, a lizard sits on a nearby stone scurries away. Two women pose beside a deer which stands in the shade beside several picnic tables. Other deer nearby, one eating from a branch.
A pair of shoes and socks laying on the ground changes to a pair of feet paddling in a stream. The pony trek continues passing through a desert valley and passing a sign for Bright Angel Shale. The ponies and their riders come around a corner along a track that overlooks wide vistas and a deep valley below. At the rear and on-foot comes Ken Ellwood, he takes a swig from a water bag.
At Rainbow Forest Ken picks up and looks at a large rock holding it up to the camera. A view of the petrified forest and a cut section of a petrified tree on display. A couple walk past a sign for the forest and Ken takes a photograph of the surrounding landscape.
Phantom car ride with the setting sun reflecting in the passenger rear-view mirror. The car stopped and the sun continuing to set over distant hills.
A large road sign reads ‘Desert Ahead! Prepare – Next Stop’. The journey continues changing to Ken sitting at a table eating a section of watermelon with a fork.
A holiday brochure for ‘Oklahoma Holiday’ and a pair of hands turning it over to show a picture of a Native American on the back. A group of Native American children perform a series of dance routines occasionally accompanied by a grown up, more sitting on benches around the covered area watching. Two of the children in colourful outfits pose for the camera.
A small girl pulls her younger sibling along a garden path in a red Radio Flyer wagon. Ken then pulls both children in the wagon along the path.
A light aircraft is pushed out of a hanger changing to it in the air flying over a town or city. Ken and Kath Ellwood sit in the front seats with Ken at the controls banking the plane left.
Sitting in the shallows of a hotel swimming pool a man plays with a toddler, he passes the boy to his mother. Ken followed by Kath swim over. Standing beside a car in a desert location is the couple seen in the pool, the woman posing with the toddler. Ken closes the rear door of the car before getting into the driver’s seat.
