The film opens in the countryside where some of the Morley Cycling Club people are marking out the track before the race. President C. Barker and Tony Jackson, another member are making their way across the track. There are shots of some cyclists riding along a road and the voiceover says that they are making their way up to the Tingley Gas Works to get parts for their bikes. Big Bertha from Old Clarion Cycling Club is a big truck which is used to transport bikes. The voiceover also informs us that the race is 15 miles in length.
Start of the race and people check their bikes and pin their race numbers onto their jerseys. The cyclists then set off down Top Cliff Hill with Bradford Racing Club in front and they race up to Middleton Woods. A panning shot shows them going along the road, stopping and then picking up their bikes and running across a large wet muddy field.
The voiceover follows the progress of several main cyclists including Harry Bond from Bradford Racing Club, David Ward and Arthur Lockwood. The voiceover says that Harry Bond takes the lead as they make their way down the hill to Dunningly Farm.
The film continues on following the competitors as they make their way along grassy tracks and roads, running up hills, and climbing across walls and gates. They haul their bikes across these obstacles as well as getting themselves across them. There are judges standing by along the way to make sure there is no cheating; they sometimes writing notes in their pads. The voiceover says that the competitors have arrived at the hardest part of the race, Top Cliff Valley. This is followed by more footage of the race.
The film finishes with shots of the cyclists making their way towards the finish line. Harry Bond comes first, Orrel (?) comes second and Ray Colminal (?) came third.
