The fifth of six television news reports on the journey of the schooner Unda von Kappeln from Blyth in Northumberland to Florida in the United States of America. In this film the crew spend Christmas in the Caribbean and enjoy a traditional Christmas fruit cake. One of the crew goes fishing and catches a marlin, another goes scuba diving around a wreck. The Unda von Kappeln travels slowing along a coastline of houses passing near to other ships moored nearby, a member of the crew sits on the deck catching the sun. Another sailing yacht slowly passes, those on-board working to raise their sails. A large knife sits beside a tin wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper. Writing on the wrapping paper reads, "Not to be opened before Dec 25, 1972." A young woman opens the tin and proceeds to cut slices of fruit cake for the men sitting around her. At sea in a smaller motorboat, a yacht sails nearby. At the back of the boat a man fights with a marlin attempting to reel it in. A member of the crew uses a long hook to pull the fish onboard. Back onboard the Unda von Kappeln two men work on the deck while another is scuba diving. He swims deeper towards the wreck of a ship passing several shoals of fish. He uses a knife to poke at a piece of wood, part of the sunk vessel. General views of sea life both on the vessel as well as the seabed.
