The third of six television news reports on the journey of the schooner Unda von Kappeln from Blyth in Northumberland to Florida in the United States of America. In this film the crew visit a Portuguese port or sherry distillery followed by a visit to see traditional windmills. At sea the boat continues south and east towards Grand Canarias. The schooner arrives in port where racing yachts are being sailed.
A port with a number of ships moored their changes to a warehouse where men work to make traditional wooden port or sherry barrels. In another part of the warehouse baskets of black grapes with a bushel of grapes sitting in a wooden box. In another part of the building workers bottle and label their produce. Two glasses of port are held up to the light, the hands holding them gently spinning them. In the countryside two large wooden windmills and a third which appears to now be a home.
A map showing the Portuguese coastline and Grand Canarias changes to the Unda von Kappeln back at sea with a member of the crew at the wheel. A second more detailed map of the Grand Canarias islands changes to three men standing on the deck of a different more modern sailing yacht.
The sails of this racing yacht have been raised as a member of the crew turns a handle which is raising or lowing said sail. The yacht travels at speed through the water as a young woman sits on deck beside the three men. Nearby a second sailing yacht.
