The film begins with an introduction by Zenko Lastowiecki welcoming attendees. The stage is decorated with a sign in Ukrainian which translates as “welcome to mothers” in Ukrainian. The concert programme is as follows: three songs performed by a children's choir with piano accompaniment; a reading by an unidentified second-generation woman about the significance of Mother's day from a personal, cultural and patriotic perspective; a mixed dance performed by Metelyk; a comedy skit performed by two third generation boys; a dance with rushnyky (ritual cloths) performed by Metelyk’s female dancers; a series of poems and songs performed by second and third generation children in traditional costume with piano accompaniment; a hutzul dance performed by third generation children from Bradford; a hutzul dance performed by Metelyk’s male dancers; a comic skit performed by a man and a woman based on the song There’s a Hole in My Bucket; a series of piano performance of various pieces by four third-generation girls and boys including Oy na hori, ta i zhentsi zhnut (Oh on the mountain the reapers are reaping) and Arkan (Lasso) amongst others; poetry recitals by third generation boys and girls followed by a performance of the children's song Khodyt Harbuz Po Horodu (The Pumpkin Strolls in the Garden) and Oy na hori haiy (Oh on the mountain) with piano accompaniment; a dance performed by four of Metelyk’s female dancers; third generation boys and girls performing a medley of songs and poems; a Cossack dance performed by seven of Metelyk’s male dancers; a female choir (possibly from Reading) performing Tsyhanochka (Gypsy) and another folk song; a hutzul dance performed by six pairs of men and women from Metelyk.
After this final performance, all the performers gather onstage whilst Zenko Lastowiecki thanks them all. Flowers are presented to Michael Buriak, the director of Metelyk and former member of the Bradford community, by his young godson. Zenko Lastowiecki asks everyone to leave the hall so they can prepare it for the dance then hands over to Bohdan Sweryt the director of the Ukrainian Saturday School. He explains that the Mother's Day concert should have been the next day, but because this clashed with a demonstration in London in recognition of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, it was decided to combine it with the Metelyk concert. He then provides details about the arrangements for the demonstration, asking everyone to wear vyshyvanky (embroidered shirts and blouses), and that the coaches to London will leave Bradford at 8am. Finally, two girls perform a poem about mothers and children leave the stage to present their mothers with daffodils. There are views around the hall as the flowers are given out and people begin to leave. The film finishes as 3 hrs 01 mins 38 secs.
