Summary An edition of the Tyne Tees Television rural life programme Up Country presented by Jessica Holm. In this edition a report from the forges of blacksmith's Stephen and John Lunn near Morpeth in Northumberland who are working to keep this traditional county trade alive. Jessica then joins Biologist Peter Garson for an early morning search for Black grouse on the remote moors of the Northern Pennines. After the break, a visit to Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coastline where driving instructor Lin Treadgold spends her leisure time as leader of the RSPB Young Ornithologist Club at Clarkson's Wood near Loftus in East Cleveland teaching children the Country Code as well as bird behaviour and natural history. In the final report wildlife film cameraman Kip Halsay talks about his most rewarding filming experience, that of otters on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. |
