Summary An edition of the Tyne Tees Television rural life programme Up Country presented by Jessica Holm. In this edition a report on the importance of the rural postman for the community around Broughton in Furness in Cumbria. The second report from Chillingham Park in Northumberland follows Lady Tankerville as she travels around the park looking after the famous wild Chillingham Cattle who live there. She is about to retire as President of the Chillingham Cattle Association. They talk, sing and knit this local tradition. The final report taking place during National Wildflower Week as Jessica walks through ancient woodland and meadows being shown various important wildflowers growing there. |
