There are more exterior shots of the buildings. A worker is supervising a large steaming vat; a close up of the vat shows the hot liquid inside. A man outside stands by a pipe. A crane is shown lowering barrels into a shipping container; the barrels are labelled ‘ANTWERP’. These barrels are seen stacked up.

A red-brick works building is shown, followed by liquid being poured into machinery. A worker shovels product and a bag labelled ‘CRUJOL’ is shown.
Title – A large outlet for Crude Soap.
Title – Wagon Grease for British Railways.
Paste/grease is put into a metal container.
Title – Solvent extraction of crude soda soap.
Product is shovelled into a container.

A worker turns a wheel to loosen a valve and the product gushes out from the bottom. Another worker shovels the product into a metal bin. This is then emptied into a chute. Product is then shovelled into a large paper bag.
Title – the extracted unsaponifiable drying oil.
Machinery is shown working, followed by a worker directing liquid from a pipe down a funnel.
Title – Manufacture of ‘Lanalose’ and ‘Lanaloid’.
Machinery is shown carrying out this process, including shots of bags of CRUJOL.
Title – Lanaloid Synthetic Wax.
Steaming liquid pours from a pipe.
A bag is shown labelled ‘Lanaloid’.
Workers smash up the cooled down product and put into the bag.
Title – Lanalose Oil Paint Vehicle.
A worker removes the lid from a lanalose barrel and tips it over. He removes the sides of the barrel too and smashes up the product inside.
Title – In the research laboratory (overlaying image of paint tin and brush.)
A panning shot of the laboratory shows workers inspecting glass tubes/flasks.
Title – The manufacture of varwolax crujol oil-bound water paint.
Components of the process are seen on a work bench. The crujol is tipped into a bucket, water is added, and then other components are mixed in. The paint is ready and demonstrated by blue paint being used on an interior wall.
Title – The manufacture of ‘no oil’ Lacquer paint.
Components on a work bench are shown: white spirit, 60gms Esterified Gum, 60gms Lanalose. The components are mixed in a glass beaker over a Bunsen burner. The liquid is put into another labelled container. Scales are used for some measurements, and then the substance in the container is mixed up on a machine. The mixed liquid is tipped into a bowl. The paint is ready and is demonstrated on the painting of a box.
Title – The manufacture of modified linseed oil gloss paint.
The components are shown on a desk: 65gms varnish medium 1:1 linseed oil/esterified gum, 52gms lanalose solution (40% in white spirit). The components are mixed together and put in a labelled jar. A barrel of paint is ready; a worker demonstrates the use of the paint on an outside door.
