Male competitors stand on a platform and cast their rods into the water watched by spectators watching along the shoreline. The final part of the film shows the competitors casting in a fields. A man stands on a platform built into a large pond or lake, in the background peoples stand watching from the bank. As he begins to cast his line the film changes suddenly to a second man standing on a different platform casting his line. On the banks behind him several spectators some standing others sitting on wooden deckchairs. Two men in a small boat paddle across the water using only one oar to a large pontoon on which has been build a whitewashed building with flags in each corner. From another platform several men cast their lines into the water using rods of various lengths, in the background on the other side of the river the large metal frames of electricity pylons. A man walks along a pontoon beside where the men are casting measuring the distances. Along the far bank cars are parked near the waters edge with people seating in front watching the competitors. In a field the competitors each stands behind a small rope barrier before casting their rod into the grass. They each have different styles of casting as well as different rods and baits. Some of those not taking part sit on the grass watching, other stand behind observing. End title: The End
