This is a short amateur film which shows the filmmaker in the grounds of the family's farm and snippets of the Flying Scotsman locomotive.
The film opens with a long shot of a stream train, the flying Scotsman, as it passes by a field and, as the camera tracks the train, a level crossing is shown where traffic waits by the road. Another shot captures the train as it disappears over the horizon leaving only a thick cloud of smoke behind.
At the filmmaker's farm, a traction steam engine is being reversed down a country lane before it stops, and a young boy wearing a red train drivers hat plays with the steering wheel. Later by the family's home, the young boy plays with a child's toy tea-set and hands a cup to his mother. The film closes with panning shots of the farmhouse exterior and the surrounding area which contain views of a small rural village.
