Title: Jack and the Beanstalk. 12.1.1991
The audience applauds as the stage lights come up to reveal a chorus of singers and dancers on stage for the first routine set around a Maypole. The song over the performance begins that includes many other song and dance routines performed by performers of all ages. The production also includes a comedy routine featuring a pantomime cow and a dance sequence using UV light to illuminate skeletons and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The production continues and at the end of one routine Rowland Maughan comes forward to acknowledge some of the parties or groups in the audience and to pass on birthday greetings to others. The performance continues to the end after which Rowland comes forward again to thank some of those who have helped behind the scenes.
Rowland invites nine birthday boys and girls onto the stage and chats with them about what they got for Christmas. He splits them into two groups to sing a song, members of the cast come onto the stage carrying placards which they raise when the children and the audience join in. The song over the children leaves the stage followed by Rowland.
The curtain is raised once more for a final dance routine after which the full cast come out to take a bow. Rowland Maughan comes forward again to thank some of the cast as well as some of those who have helped behind the scenes, several bouquets are presented. The production ends with the cast singing the National Anthem as the curtain falls slowly.
