Part way through the second part Rowland Maughan comes back onto stage to acknowledge some of the parties and group in the audience. He leaves and the production continues. The curtains close’s again at the end of the production and Rowland returns to the stage and performs a comedy routine with a woman. He then asks the audience to sing along with him the nursery rhyme ‘Hey Diddle Diddle’, the words written on placards being carried onto the stage by members of the cast. Eight birthday boys and girls come up on stage to speak with Rowland who asks them what they got for Christmas. The children leave and Roland begins to sing the nursery rhyme, the audience singing along with him.
The stage is cleared, and the curtain opens again for a final dance routine followed by the full cast appear for their encore. Rowland comes forward to give special thanks to some of the cast and crew, some receiving bouquets. The cast wave as the curtain goes up and down several times.
