Men and women enjoy a buffet meal and chat over drinks before spending the remainder of the night dancing and taking part in various party games. Against one-side of a dancefloor inside The Mall nightclub four tables are laid out with food. Behind them people sit or standing around drinking and chatting, on the dancefloor three young women dancing. Title: Texas Teesside “Christmas Party 1992” held in The Mall Stockton on Wednesday 23rd December 1992 A young woman sitting on a stool overlooking the dancefloor mouthing the words to the song being played, a man beside her waves at the camera before continuing to speak with a second woman. The three of them chat over their drinks. A young man with a cigarette hanging from his mouth dances for the camera, beside him another young man in leather jacket takes a drag from his cigarette before smiling at the camera. Behind the two men a crowd gathers around the bar ordering drinks. Around the nightclub men and women stand around chatting over drinks or dance on the dancefloor. From the DJ’s booth an image projected on a screen reads ‘Good Evening & Welcome to The Mall’. On a dancefloor tables laid out with food and four waitresses standing to the side. A queue forms onto the dancefloor for the buffet, those at the front make selections. Strobe lighting illuminate a darkened dancefloor on which people are dancing. A drunken couple look into the camera, the woman smiles and laughs. From the DJ booth again four young men wearing Santa hats dance amongst the crowd on the dancefloor, others stand around chatting beside the tables that once held the food. The lights in the nightclub go out and a cabaret performer performs for the crowd. The performance over people return to the dancing, the strobe lighting showing up both those on the dancefloor as well as those sitting around the edge chatting. From the DJ booth various party and drinking games taking place on the dancefloor intercut with more dancing watched by colleagues standing or sitting around chatting over drinks. The games over more dancing with crowds singing along and thrusting their arms into air as they move around the dancefloor. Balloons and tinsel are dropped onto the crowded dancefloor, the dancing and singing continues. Smoke is pumped into the room from a large flashing lighting rig above the dancefloor, everyone continues to dance and has a good time. Title: When many years this day has passed.
