The church of St Mary’s in the village on Norton, in the churchyard a large stone cross. Guests arrive and make their way into the church; one man carries a video camera. Outside the church entrance the groom and best man, both in morning suits with top hots, stand speaking with two older women. More guests arrive, some by car. The bridesmaids and pageboy pose for the camera near to the churchyard entrance. A car pulls up and another bridesmaid gets out.
The bride and her father arrive and walk through the churchyard to where the parish vicar is waiting. Official photographs of the wedding party are taken in the church doorway before heading inside.
Views of the exterior of the church are change to the vicar appearing through the church doorway back outside followed behind by the happy couple. Guests begin to appear from the church standing around the churchyard chatting. The wedding party moves onto a grassed area in the churchyard where more official photographs are taken. On leaving the churchyard the bride lifts her dress to reveal her garter, the married coupled getting into their wedding car and driven away.
The sign for and exterior of the Hardwick Hall Hotel. Inside guest sit around tables chatting over glasses of Champagne and other refreshments. At the top-table the bride looks at a Polaroid photographs with two of her bridesmaids, her husband next to her speaks with an older woman. The couple cut their three-tiered wedding cake and their guest applaud. The film ends with guests continuing to chat happily over their drinks, some turning and smiling at the camera.
