A collection of four short pen-and-ink animations produced by Dr David Jones when he was a teenager and made to be shown on a moving-image machine of his own invention created from Meccano. Although without titles the animations ads ‘Jonescope Funeral March’, ‘The Pulling Off’, ‘The Pasting Off’, and ‘The Gunpowder Internal Combustion Engine’. Seven cone-shaped character march while carrying a sign that reads ‘Jonescope’. Some wipe tears away with handkerchiefs, they are all coloured black....

Although without titles the animations ads ‘Jonescope Funeral March’, ‘The Pulling Off’, ‘The Pasting Off’, and ‘The Gunpowder Internal Combustion Engine’. Seven cone-shaped character march while carrying a sign that reads ‘Jonescope’. Some wipe tears away with handkerchiefs, they are all coloured black. (9 secs). A pink coloured cone-shaped character pulls back the bottom-right corner of the screen over himself revealing a second pink coloured cone-shaped character underneath. The sequence is repeated seven times (13 secs). Two pink coloured cone-shaped characters stand either end of the screen. The character on the right begins to unroll and paste a roll of wallpaper eventually covering the second character who disappears. He then becomes the character on the left, a new character now standing on the right. The sequence is repeared four times (18 secs). Three green coloured cone-shaped characters roll barrels on gunpowder into a vault. Two of the characters race out of the vault while the third lights the fuse. The other two close the vault door before the third can escape. The character now coloured pink bangs on the vault door as the fuse goes down and the gunpowder explodes. A plunger pushes the explosion and smoke down towards the door which opens covering one of the characters standing outside. Two green coloured characters carrying brooms enters the vault followed by a third pink coloured figure with a question mark above his head. He watches as the other two sweep up before wondering further into the vault as three more barrels of gunpower are rolled inside. The fuse is lit an all three green characters rush outside closing the vault door. Again, the pink character is trapped inside as the barrels explode, the sequence above is repeated two more time (50 secs).
