In the garden of a large house a well-dressed crowd sit around tables chatting over tea and sandwiches. Nearby children, including Richard Forsyth, play games before heading inside for a Punch and Judy Show. Back outside a man holds a small child in his arms, beside him two women. Around the garden people stand around chatting.

A party of smartly dressed school children line up against a wall before climbing aboard a bus. The bus drives through a village changing to the children racing down a hillside toward a parked ice cream van. The children each pick an ice cream from a box before going back to running around the field. They then line up and the teachers watch as they do the long jump before having several games of tug-o-war.

One of the women sits in a deckchair listening to someone off-screen. Two young girls in bathing costumes play badminton on the lawn while Richard in his swimming trunks splashes around in a paddling pool. Everyone sits or stands around a table eating and drinking. More games are played on the lawn, the girl’s badminton the boys cricket.
Outside the CB Hotel at Arkengarthdale near Richmond a woman makes her way inside. Three young men and a young woman walk along a sunny country road. The family goes for a walk through the Richmondshire countryside crossing open moorland. The children race about as the adults sit on the grass relaxing.
In a large garden a couple watch children play at their feet. They walk over to a different part of the massive lawn where Richard lays on the grass firing an air-rifle. Other boys come over and another boy fires the rifle supervised by a man.

The two of them walk around the Old Royal Naval College before taking a boat back to central London heading towards Tower Bridge. Richard walks around the veranda atop St Paul’s Cathedral looking out onto London below.
