A home movie produced by John Scott-Forsyth featuring his wife Joanna and youngest child Richard filmed both at home in Sedgefield as we as visiting friends and family around the country. The film is also believed to feature a trip to the United States where fishermen fish from a lake and the film visit a local school for sports day.
Richard Forsyth rides around the back garden of the family home in Sedgefield watched by a young man, possibly older brother Angus. He falls off but gets back...

Richard Forsyth rides around the back garden of the family home in Sedgefield watched by a young man, possibly older brother Angus. He falls off but gets back on again peddling around the lawn. On a field behind the family home the two shoot arrows from a bow, they are joined by a girl of a similar age to Richard.
On the lawn of another house Richard and an older woman play tennis watched by other sitting in deckchairs. A woman helps a girl to tie a shoe, a man speaks with the cameraperson from a deckchair. The girl wears a helmet worn for horse riding. Richard and the girl walk across a field and look around the ruins of a building. The family group walk along a riverbank, some of them throw stones in the water. A young woman on horseback rides around a field. In the garden of the family home Richard is gardening working on a vegetable patch.
A couple and their dog walk through the garden of a large, whitewashed house. They meet a man digging in the earth. They play with the dog before returning to the house. Two women now walk through the garden changes to Richard playing with a set of dominos. Outside the front of the house Richard sits on a motorised lawnmower. He kisses his mother’s cheek; an older man comes over. Inside the house an older woman sits and drinks a cup of tea. Outside again the older man shoots a shotgun. The older woman now sits in a wicker chair under a veranda speaking with Joanna and the older man. Joanna is holding a bouquet of daffodils.
Joanna and another woman go for a walk with a group of children. In the entranceway of a barn the children watch a man light a small fire on which food is cooked and presented to everyone. The children play-fight with long sticks.
Two boys walk across a large lawn changes to a woman walking through a shed full of cows. A family takes a walk through the countryside changes to a young woman standing outside the front door of the large white house. Nearby two older women whom she goes and stands beside.
Richard and a small girl take a bath together changes to Joanna and Richard at a swimming pool. She helps the young girl swim in the water, Richard can swim on his own in the busy pool.
In the grounds of a large building surrounded by crowds Richard lets go of a balloon which disappears into the sky. A crowd watches him jump about on a trampoline followed by him shooting an arrow at a target set up against a wall. An elevated view looking down on marquess and the crowds.
Joanna and another woman walk around a garden, she plays a game with Richard using a piece of string wrapped around his finger.
On a beach Richard climbs around the base of a large rock formation.
Beside a stone wall a group of people sit resting, some eating or drinking. A man speaks with the group before following him around one of the Roman forts built along Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland.
Back in the family garden a man atop a ladder removes roof tiles from an outbuilding. He then works to dismantle the building brick-by-brick wheeling them away in a wheelbarrow.
A car in unloaded beside a lake, several people climb-aboard a rowing boat. A man is at the control of a motorboat heading out onto the lake. On another jetty people climb into a different rowing boat, a number of men carrying fishing rods come onto the jetty. The motorboat again speeds across the lake passing houses built in the treeline, they pass two men fishing from a boat.
In a garden a small girl stands beside a man sitting in a chair, she begins to dance for the camera. A woman sits in another chair talking changes to her sitting beside the man and girl.
In the ground of a school crowds of parents watch small children take part in various sporting events. A large Union Jack is draped over the windows of a school building. Seated parents watch their children compete in a sack race. An obstacle race followed with children starting the race while laying on the ground. Mothers complete in an egg-and-spoon race followed by the fathers. Parents and children sit around a table, children come up and collect a prize from a woman and man standing beside the table. The film ends on Richard and two younger boys playing together.
