From the balcony of the families Manhattan apartment two girls play with a baby. A woman pushes a pram along a road, following behind her comes a boy and the two girls seen previously. In a park a large crowd sit around long tables enjoying a meal as waitresses in green serve them. Sitting in the shade the woman holds the baby, one of the girls sitting next to her. Several well-dressed woman stand beside them chatting or looking down at Richard. In a zoo enclosure, an Orangutan sits of a concrete step chewing his food. A younger, small orangutan walk past behind him. Sitting on a park bench the group relax enjoying ice cream while baby enjoys a bottle of juice.
Back in the apartment, the woman plays with the baby who sits on her knee. From the balcony the camera follows an individual in a red hat walking across the road below entering another building. Inside again the woman feeds the baby from a spoon changes to her sitting with the child the grass in a park, an older boy laying beside her. The baby sits on the knee of a man, the family play together. Back in the apartment the baby plays and crawls on the carpet in the living room.
On a school’s sports field a number of boys are doing the high jump watched by their parents standing on the side-lines. In the stands a group of boy huddle around chatting, adults sit around them. On the field a couple stand on the side-line chatting.
The film returns to the apartment and the baby on a carpet playing with a ball. The woman changes the child’s nappy.
On a sunny day two boys walk through a garden past a number of low-hanging trees and retrieve a model airplane from one of the branches before throwing it across the lawn. A large family group relax together and play badminton. A girl sits on the ground with her mother in the shade as she feeds the baby from a bottle. Nearby the two boys play with their model airplanes. An older woman with a dog comes and sits with the woman as she feeds solid food to Richard from a small glass jar. The two boys sit in chairs enjoying a cooling drink. One of the boys helps the woman set up a playpen in the garden while a man puts a garden table together.He speaks with the person behind the camera wiggling a loose tooth with his tongue. The two boys wrestle on the grass before playing a game of croquet with the woman and girl.
A couple stand chatting, the woman holding a glass. The baby looks out from his pram smiling at the camera. A girl puts him down before she and the two boys eat a meal in the garden, the boys reading from a book. Using a green tarpaulin, the boys build themselves a den on the lawn. Standing beside a car the woman holds the baby while chatting with two other women.
A boy stands atop a concrete pier throws something; he jumps down. A second boy sits on the pier nearby. The baby sits in his highchair at home eating a fish finger. On their balcony a number of adults enjoy drinks and chat with friends. A boy and girl sit on the floor beside the baby’s crib, nearby a woman folds and places a fresh sheet on a bed before stripping a pillowcase.
Inside a café a woman sits at a table feeding a baby, a boy and girl sit on stools at the counter. Outside the ‘Chicken Basket’ restaurant, a large neon sign for the establishment on the roof. Parked in front is the family car now with a roof-rack, a boy walks towards camera.
The woman carries the baby out of a house walking toward the family car, the boy and girl follow. General views of customers inside a diner.
A man speaking to the cameraperson, he is holding a bottle in his hands. A woman in a striped top looks down and smiles at the camera. The man opens the bottle and pours the content into cocktail glasses which he enjoys around a table of seafood.
A group of men walking around the National World War I Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri followed by a view of the city skyline from that location. On a baseball field, a large crowd watches as a pink Cadillac drives on. It comes to a stop and the pitcher climbs out and walks over to the mound. At an outdoor swimming pool people are enjoying themselves on a summer’s day. Two men splay around in the pool, one of them signals for the cameraperson to come in. One of them then dives into the pool followed by him chatting with his three colleagues. They sit around table beside the pool as a waiter brings over drinks which they all enjoy.
A man in a suit walks along a concrete boulevard built beside a lake or other body of water. On the water are many of moored boats, the men chat in the porch of a building. On a path a young girl picks up a cat and shows it to one of the men. Beside a number of cars, the men shake hands followed by some of them boarding a Piedmont Airlines airplane.
On a tennis court a possible professional match between two men, one of whom is black. On another court a doubles match.
Three men and two women sunbathing on a beach. While one of the women wears a bathing suit, the other is wearing a scarf, sunglasses, and a woollen cardigan. The two men begin to wrestle in the sand. The woman in the bathing suit runs down the beach and into the ocean where she is picked up by one of them me in a fireman’s lift. He holder her as the waves crash over them. One of the women sit in an open top sports car, the others get into their vehicles. The group relax and play games in the garden of a large house. The film ends back on the beach with one of the couple who are putting down a blanket.
