The film begins with the Richard's arrival home to the families Upper East Side apartment and wife Joanna and children Rosemary and Angus bathing, changing, feeding the child. The film also features a baseball game, possibly between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers at Yankee Stadium, and an American football match as well as Rosemary and Joanna ice skating on a ring not far from their apartment and Angus playing in the snow, all possibly inside Carl Schurz Park. A small boy, Angus Forsyth, standing outside a Manhattan apartment building. A New York yellow taxi pulls up outside and a doorman helps Joanna Forsyth and and new-born baby son Richard from the car. Inside their apartment the Joanna and baby watched over by the Angus and Rosemary. In the bathroom Joanna undressed, bathed and dressed the child and places him in a pram. At a baseball stadium players on the pitch preparing for the start of a game. The game gets underway with views if the crowds in the stand watching, clapping, and cheering. On the pitch an official come over and speak with the players. Someone in the crowd waves a ‘Dodger’s flag. Back in their apartment Joanna feeds the baby from a droplet. She and brother Angus take a walk through a park, the boy Joanna eating a toffee apple. They stand at a junction waiting to cross a busy road. The baby in its pram changes to him being held by Rosemary. Joanna and two girls come out of their apartment. From the roof of the apartment building views across the New York skyline with the boy playing a game and a man winding a camera. Sitting in her apartment Joanna sews followed by her and Angus on the roof holding the baby. Back inside the apartment the baby crawls around on a mat and being fed with a bottle. Angus sits in a chair reading a newspaper while his mother sits on the edge of her bed flicking through a magazine. Rosemary plays with the baby on the floor of the apartment. Followed by her feeding him from a bottle and burps him. Joanna looks at a small bird sitting in a bush inside a park. She and Rosemary walk along a path through park towards a look out over the East River. Richard, now a few months old, if with family and friends in the apartment. In the bathroom Joanna feeds him from a bottle followed by him being fed soft food from a spoon, he begins to cry. Angus plays with his brother who is sitting up on a chair. Joanna bathes and feeds him. In a stadium a game of American football being played. On the far side a large crowd watch the match from the stands, above them large adverting hoardings for ‘Balantine’ and ‘New GEM Razor’. A large car pulls out of a suburban house changes to a family group standing beside a car in a car park beside the beach. Wrapped up from the wind views of them walking on the beach, an older girl walks past carrying a young one on her back. The group make their way back to the car and are seen sitting in the backseat smiling at the camera. Parked back at the house seen at previously a man helps the children out of the back of the car. On a small ice ring on a two girls skating past crowds of others on the ice. Two people walk past scooping up the ice with a shovel. Back at the apartment Richard is being fed both from a spoon and bottle. Rosemary sits reading, nearby with Angus sitting at a desk writing a letter. The baby sits in a pram looking up at a mobile. Back at the small ice ring Joanna and Rosemary skate alongside a number of children. They take each other’s arms and spin around together. From the balcony in their apartment the family look down through a gap between two building to the ice rink in the distance. The family at home in their apartment changes to Joanna holding Richard beside the Central Park Carousel. Other members of the family take a ride on the ride. Angus plays in a snowy park, another boy comes down a slope on a sled chased by Angus. The two of them roll and play around in the snow. Angus makes a large snowball and throws it, in the background is the East River with the Hell Gate Bridge in the distance. The boys continue to play in the snow. From the viewing area of an airport Joanna and Angus wave at the camera. Outside on the runway a Sabena Airlines propeller passenger aircraft begins to taxi. The film ends with the aircraft taking off watched by Angus and a second woman.
