[B&W] In the garden on a house a boy and a girl kicking a can and stroking two Siamese cats. The boy rides a bike around the garden. A woman appears from the house and the children help her pick Asparagus from the garden. The children climb a tree. At the front of the house with woman and two children pose for the camera.
[Colour] At a hotel or restaurant a woman comes down a set of steps and sit at a table. A waiter appears behind her carrying two trays which he sets up on the table.
The woman comes through a doorway walking through a small courtyard carrying a number of bags. She comes through a set of gates, the name ‘Hotel Marina’ stencilled on the stone pillar, and walks towards a beach past Le Trident Plage, a beachside café or restaurant.
On the beach, she appears from a charging room wearing a white bikini and sits down on a lounger. She plays on the sand with two small children, nearby a member of staff rakes the sand near the shoreline watched by sunbathers.
A woman and young girl in a red dress smile at the camera on the veranda of a beachfront café. The woman serves food to the girl now sitting at a table along with a man and older boy.
Back at the Hotel Marina the woman sits at a table as a waiter opens a bottle of wine. Another family sit at a nearby table eating a meal.
A small crowd watches as riders on bicycles speed past along a tree-lined boulevard. They are followed by a series of support vehicles and motorbikes. From a balcony overlooking a hotel swimming pool, the woman looks down as a waiter serves drinks. General views of the pool which is built beside the sea and a man swimming in it.
Back on the beach a second woman comes out of a changing room wearing a blue swimsuit. She hands a hanger containing her clothes to an attendant. General views follow of people sunbathing on a beach and children playing in the sand.
A man in a stripes top carrying a pair of binoculars looks down on a town below. He walks along a path past a number of cacti. The film changes to a woman walking along beside the water with large buildings built on the far hillside. She passes a large BP [British Petroleum] emblem attached to the railing.
Back at the hotel, a small group sit around a table chatting. A man appears with a bottle of wine and holds it up to the camera. They enjoy a drink, chat, and play with two young girls who have joined them. One of the girls present a bouquet of red flowers to a woman who kisses her on the cheeks.
A young girl poses in her communion dress beside a set of steps. A man appears and bows before her. A phantom ride possibly from a steam train as it travels along the coast through a number of small coastal towns.
A group of smartly dressed young adults walking through the courtyard of a building. They stand beside a fence as one of the women eats a sandwich. The film changes to eight people seating in a punt on the water. From a riverbank a large crowd watch two boats of rowers competing in a race, possibly the Oxford Cambridge Boat Race taking place on the River Thames.
In a garden a man and two women sit in deckchairs chatting. On the grass, a younger man lays beside a number of drinks bottle. The four of them come out of a garden gate onto a road.
At a rugby ground a man carrying a young boy across the pitch being chased by other boys. A number of boys perform gymnastics watched by others sitting around the edge. The boys take part in a three-person piggyback race followed by them all boys standing in line and falling onto the ground in sync.
On a different fields children and parent take part in a races as part of a school sports day including a wheelbarrow race where the boys are blindfolded and appear to be wearing reins which are being held by their fathers. In a garden a group of adults sit chatting.
In the countryside, three young girls walk through long grass before climbing into a rowing boat with a woman. They row along the river. Six girls and a woman walk along a road, one of the girls is carrying a large hamper.
An older girl comes through a large gate and walking around a garden admiring the flowers and vegetables growing there before running across the lawn back to the house. A man uses a trowel and cement to repair on a low garden wall.
A boy and a girl stand at a window holding two plates of colourful cakes; the girl also holds a cat. Views of a well-maintained garden with the boy and girl playing with a ball on the lawn and chasing each other.
On a lawn beside an open gate, the boy plays with a cat. A woman appears holding a dustpan. The woman walking through the garden holding a tray containing a cup of tea or coffee, she smiles at the camera. A second woman appears and the two of them walk past with the boy. The film ends with a view of the garden filmed from an upstairs bedroom.
