The film opens with scenes of many daffodils in a park in springtime. It then moves on to show close-ups of the many crocuses that cover a grass area of another park. At Abbey House Museum in Kirkstall, the filmmaker shows the park 'at its best' in springtime. The park is covered with daffodils both on its grassy banks and along its pathways.
At Temple Newsam, though there are fine paintings held within the building, the garden has just as much to offer a visitor like its beautiful paths which are lined with rhododendrons. A park in Gledhow is shown where a carpet of bluebells covers a woodland area.
Finally the film ends with extensive views of Roundhay Park in Leeds and the many floral displays at the park. There are freesias, shots of bees flying from flower to flower, and an ornamental pond that has a duck and ducklings gliding about on the water. The rose garden is also shown before the park is shown in autumn. The film closes with shots of the trees in the autumn sun whose leaves have begun to turn shades of red and gold associated with that season.
