The outline of the film is here with the family prepare for Christmas and daughter in bed. Doug dresses as Santa Clause bringing a sack of presents and his daughter opening them on Christmas morning. In the living room of the family home Marjorie Collender kneels on the carpet, her daughter Amanda Marie rushes over into her arms. She lifts the child up and walks out of shot. Doug Collender sits on the sofa reading a newspaper, a Christmas tree stands nearby. Amanda Marie rushes over and receives a kiss on the cheek from her father, she runs away. Another kiss on the lips this time between Amanda Marie and Doug followed by Doug and Marjorie kissing beside the Christmas tree. Seated again on the sofa Doug waves, gets up and leaves the room turning out the light leaving only the lights on the tree illuminating an inflatable Father Christmas. General view of the Christmas tree with lights and inflatable Santa Clause next to it. Amanda Marie lays in her bed holding a teddy bear pretending to be asleep, she occasionally opens her eyes or smiles. Light comes into the room when her bedroom door is opened, she continues to pretend to be asleep but keeps opening her eyes to look at the light. She gets out of bed and puts on a dressing gown. The sequence is repeated but this time she picks up her teddy bear. She comes downstairs and walking into the living room where Marjorie gives her a glass of sherry and a plate containing a piece of Christmas cake which she places beside the fire. Doug dressed as Father Christmas steps out of the fireplace carrying a large sack of presents which he places around the Christmas tree. He leaves the sack under the tree before drinking the glass of sherry and climbs back into the fireplace. Still dressed as Santa he goes upstairs before quickly coming back down again. He opens the living room door and peaks inside and nods his head, the sequence is repeated. Holding her teddy bear Amanda Marie comes into the living room. She smiles seeing all the presents under the tree. She uses a toy vacuum cleaner to vacuum the carpet and goes inside her ‘Wendy’ house. She waves at the camera through a plastic window. She picks up the sack of and presents and begins to unwrap a present inside to find a teddy panda bear. She gives the toy a hug before clapping with a smile. She takes out other presents from the sack looking them over before going over to give the inflatable Santa a hug. She hugs and pets a toy mouse before showing it to the inflatable Santa. She finds a toy wind instrument which she begins to play, she finds a Womble’s badge which she shows the camera. Sitting next to her Marjorie plays the instrument, Amanda Marie listens. Amanda Marie plays with a toy that uses letter and numbers on a small desk. The reel ends on various views of the toys being laid out around the living room.
