Summary An amateur film of a visit to Paris featuring many of the cities popular visitor attractions including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris. An amateur film of a visit to Paris featuring many of the cities popular visitor attractions including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris. The film also captures a visit to the city by the President of the United States John F. Kennedy in May 1961. A policeman direct traffic along a busy Parisian boulevard near the Arc de Triomphe, pedestrians cross the road at a pedestrian crossing. Views of a number of marble statues returns the policeman and cars moving past him at speed.
A pleasure cruiser travels along the River Seine, the passengers onboard looking out on the Paris skyline. From the ground one of the inside the Eiffel Tower ascends towards the viewing platform at the top, it passes another elevator heading back to the ground.
Visitors walks past a kiosk where a young woman is working, a number of men stand beside a bar area nearby. Another group of visitors arrives passing through a barrier where a man checks their tickets. Some of the visitors looks over items on sale at the kiosk.
From a pleasure cruiser on the Seine the Eiffel Tower and nearby riverbank. The elevators inside the tower go up and down. A painting of a tiger attacking a woman is followed by boats travelling along the Seine. In the distance the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris.
A display of fountains in the Champ de Mars, in the near distance the Eiffel Tower. Outside Notre-Dame cars are parked. At night, the fountains in he Champs de Mars lit up as well as statues outside a building. Photographs of a young woman change to pleasure cruisers on the Seine lit up at night.

A commercial film features female salsa dancers inside a nightclub performing for an audience. As the women leave a band performing on stage behind them including a man playing a pair of maracas.

The Arc de Triomphe with the flags of France and the United States of America hanging from poles along the route. From the viewing area atop the Eiffel Tower the city of Paris below and the Arc de Triomphe in the distance. The camera returns to the road in front of the Arc de Triomphe.
From a different viewing area, possibly in the Montmartre area of the city, visitors look out over the city below with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. At the base of the Arc de Triomphe a large tricolour flag and the flame burning at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.
A banner hanging from a walkway reads ‘2 e Salon Nautique International De Plaisance’. Along the banks of the Seine a number of small boats are moored out of the water. A man sits in a small motorboat wearing sunglasses, a helmet and lifejacket. Someone in scuba gear jumps into the Seine and joins a second diver already in the water. A man helps one of the divers out of the water.
Two large French and American flags hang down the side of a building, writing underneath reads ‘Welcome Mr & Mrs Kennedy’. A crowd watches as an open top car drives past flanked by French soldiers on horseback. Sitting in the car waving at the crowds is President of the United States John F. Kennedy and his Vice-President Lydon B. Johnson. Two large French and United States flags fly from poles.
A woman wearing a plastic hood stands beside a busy road, it is raining. Pedestrians, some carrying umbrella’s cross a busy road as rainwater pour along the gutters. From a bridge overlooking the Seine a boat and the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris in the distance. A couple kiss and embrace passionately as they walk along the riverbank. Sitting beside the river another couple are kissing unaware of the camera above them.
Along the Charlemagne et ses Leude in front of Notre-Dame artists sell their painting to passing tourists, some stop to admire the artworks. Two woman stand outside a shop along a narrow road changing to another woman holding a number of helium balloons.
