Along a suburban street a house is under construction, workmen work on site. A car and lorry are parked in the street, on site a workman stands holding a loaded brick hod. A man and his dog walk along the street, workmen come down a plank from the partially completed house. Sitting beside a kitchen sink a cat prunes itself, outside workmen continue to work on the house.
Silver Jubilee decorations adorn the Newcastle Old Town Hall on St Nicholas Square. Traffic, including several electric trams, travel past. Surrounding building are also decorated and bunting hang over a street along which traffic and trams travel. One decoration has the initials ‘G.R’, two Union Jacks hang down from the town hall. The film ends on a poster that reads ‘Silver Jubilee 1910-1935’.
