A woman walks across the field carrying two baskets and a small pail, two small boys help collect the hay. A man sits along eating his lunch while a family group relax against a haystack eating sandwiches and drinking tea or soft drinks from a bottle. The meal over the two boys walk away carrying the baskets and pail. The work in the field continues with a young woman at the wheel of a tractor with front loader riding around creating bundles of hay which two men with pitchforks work into haystacks. A pathway through the snow passes around a house and through a garden. In a wooded area a man cuts a large tree branch into sections using a mobile circular saw attached to the motor of a vehicle parked nearby. Other men assist in the operation, one holding the other end of another section of wood while the other stands beside the vehicle. The film ends on a farm building in a rural setting.
