Summary A compilation of amateur footage produced between the mid-1940s and early 1950s begins with a boat travelling along a river, possibly the Thames, during the 1950s passes a number of decorative properties and a small paddle-steamer. This is followed by a family at a caravan site possibly during the late 1940’s or early 1950s and then a family holiday to the Lake District believed made shortly after the end of World War Two that features a girl climbing to the summit of a peak surrounding Ullswater and watching a local farmer dip his sheep. The film possibly returns to both the caravan site and river journey seen previously and ends with a farmer ploughing his field using horses. |
