A home movie of a family holiday to the Norfolk Broads begins at the seaside town of Hunstanton with them on the beach, walking the pier and swimming in the local outdoor swimming pool. Moving on to the village of Wroxham and Potter Heigham the camera captures holidaymaker enjoying The Broads in various sized sailing and motorboats.

Two women in summer dresses come out of a house. Two street in the town, one with a bank on a corner the other a row of shops with awnings. A road leads towards the sea, people relaxing on a grassy area and cars travelling past.
On the beach many children sit or stand around ‘Robe’s Celebrated Punch & Judy’ booth watching a performance. A man stands beside the booth, other adults watch from the promenade.
A family pays to get onto the Hunstanton Pier, around the payment booth posters for acts performing in the Pier Pavilion; the main attraction ‘The Westend Follies of 1934’. People walk along the pier as a speedboat speeds past nearby.
A souvenir stall set up outside an open-air swimming pool, inside people swim in the pool or sit around on benches set up round the sides of the pool. Children splash around in the water, one dives in. A family sit together on a bench, two boys paddle across the pool kneeling on a buoyant board. Two women swim past doing the breaststroke, a game of water polo takes place. A man attempts to stand on the buoyant board before falling into the pool. The family sit at a table beside a fountain drinking tea and chatting before posing together beside said fountain.
On a boating lake beside the swimming pool the waters are congested with people in rowing boats and a small motorboat travelling around the lake passing under a footbridge. Inside a café a waitress brings over a cup of tea, two women sit at a table chatting over their drinks, one is smoking. The younger woman stands in the doorway of the café looking out on the boating lake.
A car travels along a busy street, two tram pass a car park and a public house along another road.

Sailing boats and a small pleasure steamer on The Broads, several warehouses or sheds built beside the waters-edge. Three boys in a small sailing boat cast off from a quayside rowing out into the water. The windmill seen previously.

The name ‘Herbert Wood’ is stencilled above the entrance of a boathouse with jetty on The Broads. On the water more sailing boats. A motorboat come under a stone bridge. The film ends on ‘The Broads Café’ and a man standing beside his car parked along a country road drinking a cup of tea.
