A short compilation of film sequences featuring George Cummin’s of the Newcastle & District Amateur Cinematographers’ Association (ACA) begins with him setting up to film inside the cinema of the ACA’s headquarters at Ship’s Entry off Cloth Market in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. A number of out-takes from his production ‘Sound and Effect’ and finally him at his editing desk pulling out film onto the floor in front of him. In the cinema of the ACA headquarter George Cummin and a second man check over a film camera and sound microphone and records before and event. George gives the thumbs-up to the other man who has his eye on the eyepiece of the camera. On the set of ‘Sound & Effect’ a series of eight out-takes from that production featuring Walter Clark, Sylvia Harding, George Cummin and other members of the cast.
