An amateur film produced by Frank Sterrett of a visit to London with a group of young men from German to see the ‘Battle of Britain’ exhibition. As well as seeing aircraft such as the Spitfire or Hurricane on display the German’s got to see other sites including Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace. A man looks a display for the Bloodhound surface-to-air missile system, nearby other visitors stand on a platform looking down into the cockpit of either a Spitfire or Hurricane aircraft. A sign for the de Havilland Mosquito airplane changes to show a small crowd standing around a man blowing up a balloon. A group of young men walk along a path changes to them in Piccadilly Circus looking up at the many illuminated advertising signs for the likes of Player’s cigarettes and Coca-Cola. A small crowd gather around a solider on horseback at Horse Guard Parade. Another crowd gathers around a Spitfire or Hurricane aircraft on display, underneath a sign reads 'Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Exhibition’. Across the road a large building is covered in scaffolding. In the distance Tower Bridge changes to a boat on the River Thames passing the Tower of London heading toward Tower Bridge, it’s roadway rising into the air. In a garden or park a group of men pose for the camera beside bushes of colourful flowers. Crowds outside Buckingham Palace as members of the Queen’s Guard march past away from the palace. The film ends with the young men posing for the camera again.
