Credit: Band Three Presents Title: The Dukehouse Job A large group of boys come out of a school building making their way towards a waiting coach, several are carrying suitcases which are loaded onto the bus. Outside the school gates a boy helps his friend with his case. The coach comes along a country road changes to boys and girls getting off the coach and walking towards a wooden building, one boy turns and waves at the camera. Inside a room a group of boys and girls work to renovate it. A boy sands a windowsill, another scrubs the floor while a third on a ladder cleans the walls. Other help peeling off old wallpaper. Outside two boys stand watching the boy inside sanding the windowsill, other work to measure a piece of plywood. An older boy uses a piece of wood possibly to add glue to said piece of plywood. Two boys clean the inside of a Land Rover while on a basketball court four boys play football. Inside one of the classrooms two teenage boy pick up and carry a laughing teenage girl across the room. Outside an older man looks over the work done by the boys cleaning the Land Rover. Back in the room being renovated the walls and window frames are being painted. A red car comes along the driveway towards the school and a man gets out. Back in the classroom a girl lays on the ground scraping glue from under radiator pipes. Others works cleaning the floor and a boy stands on a chair cleaning the window. In the bunkhouse boys make their bunkbeds, the sequence is partly speeded up. In another classroom a group of boys of various ages listen to a man standing beside a chalkboard. In a canteen boys and girls sit around tables eating, others stand in a line waiting to get their meals. In another classroom a teenage boy and girl work together, she sows a piece of cloth while he polishes a piece of wood or metal. Outside one of the barrack buildings boy pick weeds from dug over earth. A boy in a crash helmet and holding a flag leads a group of costumed teenagers around a room. They all stand against the wall, a number of them come over and pose for the camera. Several older members of the group begin to dance, other soon join in many of them dancing wildly. A bagpipe player appears and the group dance along to the music. The film ends on views the renovated room with yellow walls, a bookshelf, and new striped curtains. End title: The end
