However, most of the film focuses on the men and women of all ages enjoying each other's company over a few drinks. The final part if the film shows men playing snooker and dominoes in a different room.
Men and women of various ages sit around small tables or sit against walls around the room drinking and chatting with some smoking cigarettes. Some sway to the music being played, others have their arms around the shoulders of close friends or family sitting beside them. Two women raise their pint glasses to the camera, nearby a man takes a drink from his pint of beer. At the bar two barmaids serve drinks to customers.
A parade of women wearing variously decorated and colourful Easter bonnets make their way around the club watched by those in the seats. Four appear on a stage, a man standing behind kisses the cheek of one of them. He speaks into a microphone and an older woman comes off stage holding a bouquet.
Those in the room continue to drink and chat amongst themselves occasionally turning to look at the camera. Tables are filled with empty pint glasses and beer bottles. Several people in the room are smoke cigarettes or pipes. On stage a band performs and some of the audience move in their seats to the music. A man holds up his pint of beer with a smile, another tries on one of the bonnets.
In another room a are several mainly older men, some are playing a game of snooker while others sit around the perimeter of the room drinking beer. More men sit around tables talking, a man picks up a telephone receiver. Beside the bar a tall man has his arms around the shoulders of two women, possibly barmaids. A television is on that is mounted in a far corner if the room. The film ends on a group of men around a table playing dominoes.
