An amateur film produced by Bryan McIvor of a hot-pants parade and competition believed to be taking place at the Empire Social Club on Hope Street in Haverton Hill . Twenty-two women of various ages parade themselves around the club and onto a stage where three of them are presented with prizes. As a joke four men also parade themselves around the room in hot pants for everyone’s entertainment. On stage a woman speaks into a microphone while well-dressed men and women sit around small tables listening. A man wearing a cravat gyrates along to the song he is performing, with the audience clapping along. Eight women in hot-pants and holding numbered cards pose briefly for the camera before parading around the club. Beside the nearby bar a man hands out slip of paper to fourteen other women who proceed to walk around the room. An older woman in what appears to be white homemade hot pants, sticks her bottom in the air showing writing stencilled on it. On stage each of the women come forward holding up their numbered card passing a man sitting at a set of drums. Some of the women return to their seats while on stage a male compere hands envelopes to the three winning competitors kissing each of them on the cheek. In the audience the women seen previously in white homemade hot-pants dances for the crowd coming onto the stage to collect her prize. The crowd in the room begin to laugh as four men make their way onto the stage all wearing hot pants. The men pose for the audience as they parade themselves around the room. Men sip from pints of beer as they and everyone around them chat happily. An older man lights his pipe, people chat and drink with some looking at the camera as it passes by showing several groups of men and women of all ages around the room. On stage a woman speaks into a microphone, nearby a young man brushes his hair and smiles. At the bar three women fill pints of beer and the film ends on a line of men and women sitting against a wall beside a table stacked high with empty pint glasses chatting and drinking, some raising their pint glasses to the camera.
