Other children have lidos and surf boards and build sand castles. Lots of people paddle and swim in the sea. There is a rocky coastline nearby and colourful tents and beach huts lined up at the end of the beach, behind which stands a steep rocky cliff. Nearby are modern holiday apartments. Mrs Bolderson, Irene, sits in a deckchair reading a newspaper.
