The film opens showing the gift shop of Donald Pink, a woodcarver and maker of puppets. A small seaside resort on the Cornish coastline has an estuary with a brick arched bridge and boats moored up, and cars parked near the shore where a green bus passes by. There is a rocky coastline and sandy beach where families are playing and paddling and swimming in the sea. The beach has many colourful changing tents, and in the background there is a high hill with greenery and houses. Women in colourful dresses walk around the souvenir shops down the narrow streets. People come out of the 'Smugglers Hotel and Restaurant'. A boy and a girl in matching red jumpers, possibly Eric Bolderson's son and daughter, are eating apples. Cars and people go down the narrow streets. A boy looks at the models in the window of a toy shop, and a woman holds up a giant comb as the film comes to an end.
