The film opens at the fun fair area of the zoo. Eric Bolderson's young daughter, Janet, is riding on a small car around a track together with other children. In the background there is a merry-go-round and many people milling about. An elephant is being led along with a harness attached to its back where the children can sit on it. We then see children walking around the zoo. The film closes with under exposed shots of some of the animals such as penguins and giraffes.
