The fourth and final film produced by David and Joe Brunskill recording events taking place in Shildon marking the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway. The film records various steam locomotives passing as part of the ‘Cavalcade of Steam’.
The film opens on a steam locomotive traveling under a road bridge and slowly passing crowds of spectators lining the track. The LMS Princess Class 6201 Princess Elizabeth travels past followed by a number of other trains.
A policeman keeps an eye on the crowds as more engines pass including British Rail Standard 4 No. 75029 ‘The Green Knight’ which comes to a stop allowing more views of its wheels and pistons. It moves on and British Rail Standard Class 9F 92220 ‘Evening Star’ slowly passes. The film ends showing a British Rail Class 525 diesel train and carriages passing by.
